On Sunday 6th October we took church to Banbury Canal Day and what a wonderful day it was. We booked two pitches; one we dressed with tepees, the other an encounter tent. The theme this year was cowboys and Indians and our tepees’ went down a treat, we invited children to decorate cloths with their dreams for the future and attach them to the tepee, we also offered Red Indian face painting and craft activities. Lots of families came by, and words of life were shared.
In the Encounter Tent we offered, Words of Hope & Encouragement, Spiritual Reading and Dream Interpretation. It was great to have Tony & Dwee Cooke www.streamstrainingcentre.co.uk with us from Cheltenham along with friends from Jubilee Leamington Spa. We had lots of people coming by, Jesus was shared, people were prayed for and contacts made.
As we ended the day there was a real sense that this is exactly where Jesus would have been on a sunny Sunday, among the people, bringing heaven to earth. And we won a prize for the best dressed stall - well done Jo!
